Windswept Juniper

Being new to the forum, thought i should post some things i'm working on, so here goes.

This is a before version of a juniper that i selected for a windswept, have posted the finished version on another site before, but seems to be different people here. (sorry for the poor quality of the image but didn't have a digi camera then). the tree was actually aout 60-70 degrees upright, which can be seen on this overhead photo.

This is the after, I think the angle needs changing slightly to get rid of the straight trunk (although it has lateral movement, also excuse some poor wiring on that trunk) and have left pleanty of foliage to let it recover, have a few ideas about pots, but thought i'd see what people thought of the tree and pot wise for it.

virts, questions etc.. welcome.

Hi Jonny D,

I think you have made a good start with your juniper.

this is what I would do if it were mine... lose all the foliage that has been trained lower than the base of the trunk. I have prepared a virtual to show what I mean. The pot is not ideal, but it shows what could be achievable.

Regards,

TB

HI TB,

Thanks for the virt. I hadn't even considered splitting the two trunks but its an interesting idea. i'll keep that under review. The pot works quite well to.

cheers jd.
