Nice virtual Al!

The pot is pretty small. I need to photo the tree to give some idea of size. It is really tiny.

That's definitely a boxwood, but it's not a Kingsville. It's Green Mountain, or one of the larger leaved varieties. The leaves are a bit bleached because of cold weather, but that's OK. It's really an outdoor plant and should only be brought indoors during severe weather. I've got some in pots here in central Indiana that stay out until it gets around zero. You should probably leave yours out year-round in Fresno.

The leaves look like boxwood...I hear they have a distinctive smell. My little boxwood does. Take a whiff, does it have an interesting smell? I like the smell but some people don't...they call it "foxy". Takes all kinds I guess.

I agree with WBH (mind if I use shorter version)
Boxwood has an interesting smell, but I don't like it too much.
If you sniff your tree and suddenly think a dog has pee'ed (how do you spell that right?) on it, it definately is a boxwood.

Just happened upon your question, your tree is a Chinese Box Orange (not a boxwood) the botanical name is Severinia buxifolia. Have a nice day.
