What do you Think?
Hi All
A little tree of mine that I have been working on for about 4 years, 30cm in height, and made pot. A collected Japanese Box out of hedge of 25 that i dug out of a house that was to be demolished. I would like your thoughts Cheers Skippy If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. |

In the latest issue of Bonsai Focus. Peter Adams has a box of similar starting point . He gave a very good design option. I do not know if you have access to it. If you do it might be something you could look at. Just a thought.

I like it. That pot is a great match to the tree.

Very nice, tree, Skip. I concur, the pot is a nice match. however, the jin has a bit of a distraction. Is the thing pointing down to the right a jin or Shari that goes to the soil line? If It's a jin, i think I would remove it.
Nice tree, though. -Wm |

Is that jin really part of the tree?
I agree that the jin is too large and distracting. I would shorten the jin to a branch style. Maybe a side photo would help, so we can see how it connects to the trunk. |

Do not get rid of the shari or the jin! They really give the tree personality!!! Looks like you did a good job with the carving. I feel the tree is great the way it is, enjoy it!!!

Do not get rid of the JIN. That makes the tree. I have Jin envy. It could almost be a Mother-Daughter, with the daughter no longer with us. Tells that story to me anyway. Good job. thanks for posting.

I like the shari. While it's a little overpowering now, that probably won't be the case in a few years. This is clearly top-notch. Keep up the good work.
