What a difference two years makes - Jaboticaba

I bought this tree essentially as a twig . . . it is now one of my favorite tree's. I feel the tree has an "african plain" feel to it . . . even though the tree is native to brazil .

If you've never kept a jaboticaba, they are wonderfully simple tree's to care for. This tree has been trained purely via "clip and grow" and has never been wired. All I do is repot annually in the height of summer using a standard tropical mix, and feed heavily throughout the year.

Enjoy . . . .

Total height (including pot) ~ 12"

its unfortunate that the updated picture does not really show the branch structure of this tree . . . the pic above makes it look like a topiary when it has a really nice branch structure.

I will take your word for it 007. If I stare at the photo too long, everything turns red when I walk outside plus it makes me hungry.
