Update On The Elm Of My Bonsai Buddy Jan

Hi,

I posted some pictures from the garden of my bonsai buddy Jan a while ago. Among them was a picture of a chinese elm that needed some pruning. Well, he pruned it and he brought it with him when he visited my garden this week, Here's a picture of it. I think it looks real good. He will give it a new pot next spring so if anyone has any pot suggestions ?....

Myself, I don't like the pointy triangular apex. But we've been through all that quite recently....

Anyway, I'd round out the top and put the tree in a relatively shallow, soft glazed oval.

Cheers,
Carl

It looks like a good one Jan, but I will go with the Crow on the apex. Have a look at Thomas J.'s elms.

very nice tree, but i thought may be you should try wiring all the branch down a bit to give the tree the aging look.

best regards
