Fortunately for me, in my area that's only about eight weeks away. My chinese elms wake up in early February. Soon after comes the tridents. I keep them in an unheated greenhouse for protection until March.

trident today

Here is the trident today. It's growing like a weed. I purchased it from Jack Ramey a couple of years ago when he was selling the majority of his stock. Shane Cary and I purchased ten from him so he sold them to us for $150 each. I only purchased the one shown here.
