trident maples

I just put these tridents in this growing box a couple of weeks ago what do ya think?

Very nice set-up. I think it would be better though if the box was only one slat high. Same sides, just one less board high. The trees ought to do very nice in here. They will fatten up in a hurry if you throw the water and food to them.

Yes - save this box for a patio tree. Buy one of those 5 gallon Acer palmatum dissectum "Crimson Queen" and put it into this box. It will grow slowly for a decade and then look fantastic.

Make a 1 slat box for these tridents. Don't worry about repotting them. They will never know the difference if you take a generous chunk of soil with them and don't bare root.
