You might think about planting your tree into a considerably larger pot until the branches and roots have been trained. You may be taxing the tree when its roots are pot bound.

Prunning time is arriving, so here is my plan. Basically I intend to cut three big branches growing straight up. You can see in the following two pictures.

And finally a little virtual of what it might look like after prunning, of course no cut scars.

What do you think? Am I in the wright direction?.

Thank you all for the advice, Choumi.

Looks good. See how it leafs out and then think about maybe changing the planting angle a bit more to the left. But very good. You have removed a lot of the heavy unwanted branches which is a good start.

Choumi, my reaction to your virtual after pruning: Nice, nice, nice! I assume that you will, at some point, bring the apex over the center point of the base.

Last saturday, I pruned more or less like in the last virtual I made, and transplanted.
While transplanting, I got ride of the rrots that you could see comming out of the ground and back again.
The problem came more under the roots. There where big roots circling around the botton of the pot and all fused together (1,5 cm thick). I had to leave them unless I wanted to be left with a big cutting.
What I made was to make some cuts and apply rooting hormones where I whant roots to grow, so in future repots I could cut those big roots if new ones grow in those places.

What do you think would I be lucky next year? or should I give up my hopes and try to airlayer later on?
