Trident Maple

Just a trident maple. Tell me what you think i should do with it. I already know i need to repot.

I would pull it out of the pot and put it in a growing box or big pot and let it grow for awhile. The trunk will never grow much as long as you have it in that small of pot. Also, you will have a tough time getting much branching. About all you can do right now is let the branches put on several leaves then trim the branches back to a couple leaves. But basically it just needs to grow.

I have given this advice before so if you have heard it ignore it! If you want to have some fun and some challenge go the the local nursery and buy some 1 or 3 gallon tam, san jose or procumen nana junipers. Try to pick some interesting trunk styles. Then you will have enough tree to shape. All of the ones you are showing tonight really need to grow alot to be able to shape--like several years. And to do that, you need room for them to grow.
