Too Late?
I just moved from a house to an apartment...and I have a 7 gallon trident that I want to layer off some before I chop it totally, my problem is that its really too tall and big for my patio (which is covered). So I am thinking that I may take some cuttings from it and go ahead and chop it back now. I just moved to SC. Any advice? Oh yeah for my cuttings would it be okay to plant them in a mix of turface and peat? Thank you
-Richard *edit I am sorry I ment to post this in the general forum, I just realized I was in the show and tell* Last edited by Grocco : 27-Apr-2004 at 06:44 PM. |

You might be pushing it a bit but given this years weather in SC I think you will be ok. I just topped a bunch of them out and I am not real worried about it. But then I live in SC also and you know what they say about us hillbillies ;o) |

Thanks for the quick reply Ron. I just moved up here this past weekend. I went from north west fl to the northern part of South Carolina.
Do you think it would be better If I just took enough off the top and sides to fit in the area, for right now and wait till next year to do my chop? |

5 times around a 1/2 hour circle -- I'm sorry, that's not SC, that's NJ.
