I wish, it's a tree that sets out in front of a koi dealers shop in Japan that I lust over, but alas it's not for sale.

If it is setting in front of a shop it is probably be a Tanuki.

I think they just took it out to water it!
It is way to full, so they could be trying to hide something?
It is hard to tel from the photo.....so is it one, or not!?
But what ever it is....i would not mind having one of those caliber!!!
Regards,
Hans van Meer.

Hans my friend, I will let you know after a few other folks have a look and see if they can tell if it is or not, great tree either way, right.

Hi Harry,

Yes it is stuning, and for a bonsai this good, i always wil first look and injoy it overall beauty for a while, before i even look if its a tanuki or not!
Eather way, i dont care if it is a tanuki, if it is done nicely, its ok by me!
But if it is a original you can add a zero to it's price tack!
But i stil think it is a bid to full, so i hate it!!

Hi Harry, I'm greener than that tree and don't usually offer thoughts or opinions in threads that are far beyond my experience, but since this doesn't involve advice or critique I thought I'd jump in. For what it's worth it does not look like a Tanuki to me. Can we see a picture of the back?

Sorry Sauce, this is the only picture I have, I don't think the owner would appreciate me moving his tree around for another picture from a different angle
