Hi Rene

I read the thread about the crescent pot and took the liberty of doing a virtual, allbeit a bad one, in one of the crescent pots that I had made in my last batch of pots.

Hope it gives you food for thought

Kind Regards

Andy

If it were me , i would go for the octagonal pot, it has plenty depth to it, if you get a big one, dont like those crecent pots, not enough area for roots and soil and could cause probs. with watering, feeding etc. but this is only my opinion about it, also may make the whole thing look a bit top heavy? Cheers.

Stonemonkey,

Thanks for the virtual. That would look good, bit I agree with Vince that they can be a bit of a problem. Besides that I'll have to find a cresent pot that fits my yew. We'll see.

Bonjakob,

You have taken the back side of my yew for your virtual where it leans away from the viewer. Besides that, if I cut of the long branch I'm left with a straight boring trunk without any character. I think I will leave it on, but thanks for taking the trouble making your virt !

regards, René
