im new at bonsai art,but i really like this one!!by the way ,i want to ask you,if is ''easy'' to maintain a juniper from nursery...
i said that because i think coniffers are very difficult plants for starters(root pruning etc)is that right?i dont want to ''kill'' a plant... thanks anyway and keep your nice work |

Looks nice. Would it be better if the trunk was tilted to the left a little? The bend seems too acute.

Yes it is still in its training pot and both the trees angle and major branch need some tweaking... but I do not want to stress the tree too much. I find junipers very easy to work with and maintain... I would suggest you learn to grow these trees before spending the big dollars, so that way you ensure you are not throwing your cash in the bin. Pines I think are the next level up and I strongly recommend you start with cheaper juvenile stock and grow your trees from that for a few years to ensure you do not kill them with kindness. Then move on to the better trees. Pines are fun to work on and very rewarding. Ohh thanks for the nice comments... JBHayman Last edited by jbhayman : 27-Mar-2008 at 11:01 AM. |

Nice job. I can see this tree hanging on a rocky ledge. Nice representation.
