Stolen Bonsai Trees In Australia

Please keep an eye out, especially if you are in Australia for the following two trees. 4 trees were stolen from a prominent nursery in Australia which belong to Ted Poynton. These two trees were displayed at the recent AABC convention. If you see them anywhere contact he authorities. I am hoping to this gets around everywhere so that the thievies don't get away with them.

First tree is a root over rock elm. This is a very unique design. Can't be missed.

Bonsai theft is always depressing. I hope the trees are recovered swiftly, but I do believe in general:

1) A bonsai person wouldn't steal others' trees. This is because bonsai people respect how much work is involved and would derive little pleasure from that.

2) A non-bonsai person probably will be unable to keep the trees alive for any length of time.

So let's hope for swift return!

Regards,

Matt

I would think they would try to sell them off to anyone who would buy them. You should send an e-mail out to as many members in your area and I'm sure someone will locate them.

Ignore him. The majority of his 8 posts are trolls just like this one.
