That is a pretty darn nice stump Andy, and the front you have chosen is excellent! My question would be what do you plan to do with the stub on the lower left side of the tree?

Thanks guys and gal.Those are some nice virtuals.I'm thinking....and hoping...that it bursts forth with plenty of new shoots within a month.By the end of july,I should be able to make some preliminary branch selection.

Sauce....that lower left branch was left because....just because.I don't have a reason I know(or atleast assume) that it will be cut off at some point.But, at this stage of the game,I don't mind leaving some alternate branches.

Quite a handsome "stick" you have there.
Doesn't growing something like this give you sense of pride, just think when it becomes a beautiful bonsai, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that YOU really helped to shape this tree at every level.

Thought of going kengai or han kengai on this one?
