SPRUCE from the WBC Munich 2001

Hi folks!
This spruce (Picea abies) i found in 1998 in the austrian alps ......

..... the roots were O.K. and the tree grows very well. - So i styled my spruce in Nov. 1999 .........
O.K. - The jin is to long .......

....... so i cut the jin, took another pot and this year the tree was presented at the World Bonsai Convention 2001 in Munich and was also one of the best 100 trees from the JAL bonsai world contest.

Wolfgang....WOW>>>> let me get this straight.
You collected this tree in 1998.......You started to style it in 1999....it is one of the 100 best in the JAL contest in 2001.
Wow wow wow..... it does show in the right hands the right material can be developed quickly.....now to turn my hands into the right hands (ha)

you have a nice tree there wolfgang, I can't wait until I have the time and resources to make trees like that. right now, i am at a stump, no space for treees and no money to buy more... of course alot of contruction going on and alot of old growth marshes being cut down I think I can get some free yamadori for.
