Sour Gums Winter Skeleton

This setting has been in a Bonsai pot for10 years. It looks better without foliage than with. Leaf size has not reduced much over the years.

Nice composition and great winter view. Does defoliation help with leaf reduction?

Cheers, Al

Peter,

I didn't know Nyssa's ramified that well, or I would have air layered a branch from the one in my front yard!

Question: Did you wire the branches a couple of times over the ten years you have owned this, or rely on clip and grow, or both?
