Looks like Silverberry to me. Elaegnus umbellata. I collected one from a friends property in Earlysville last year.

When I moved into the new house a couple years ago, someone had cut this thing almost flush to the ground but the last couple seasons, it had regrown. At the end of this season, I will dig down to see what kind of stump is left. It might be fun stuff. -Wm
