thats kind of cute! So you gonna semi cascade it huh,interesting, as we only normally see birches as informal uprights. Nice to be different!
BTW, what type of birch is it, as the leaves dont look,like those of our silver birches.?

I've been informed that it is simply a Betula, and that's about all I can say, but the part of Holland where it came from, apparently they grow wild in their hundreds.

If I get any other knowledge I shall keep you updated.

They are everywhere here - I remove probably 20 seedlings per year from my garden. I've yet to find the "parent"...

Oh and Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) these things pop up even more than the Birch - but these do actually make very nice trees.
