That thread was but a parody, too.

Here is the TRUE origin of the bonsai panda:

When I made a comment about the pot, which is a variety commonly used to pot ornamental "Lucky Bamboo," and the photo being a little far away, and could stand being cropped a bit, the original poster informed me that this is in fact a bonsai pot, and that the stool was very important to show scale.

So I have rendered the work here exactly as the artist intended.

P.S. Those are cigarettes, which are also evidently necessary for the viewer to appreciate the successful miniaturization of this plant.
