Shimpaku progress
Thought I would share a tree in progress. the first pic is of the tree as purchased in '01 or so. the second pic is of the tree today and the third is a pic of the tree as I see it in the future. Things that I didn't like when I first got the tree was the long straight part of the trunk just above the first curve from the soil line, and a rather uninteresting nebari( rather common in these shimpaku's) I guess the stone is the best I could come up with . I also thought the trunk could be made to look les straight with the add of a jin.The third pic is as I see in further down the line with furthur changes to include bending the lower jun and a possible change to a different style pot. Any Ideas out there?Comments and critique welcome!
Regards
