Moshe you're so lucky you live in the olive habitat. I'm going to Lebanon in July for a visit, and would like to check out the olive groves. I was told there are many wild olive and people want to get rid of.... Can you still collect wild olives in July? or it's too hot for that?

Hi bass,
Olives are evergreen tree, in our area weather usually there is no problem to collect them all year round. Of course the best time to collect trees is the end of winter – beginning of spring, i.e. in our area end of February beginning of March. Usually in our area it is hot in July although there are places in Lebanon Mountains with beautiful mild weather in July. I believe you will have a lot of problem to legally import trees to the USA, if I were you I would try to collect the famous Cedar of Lebanon. Good Luck
