Wow Walter, that's either a very small ski slope or an enormous pot!!!

All kidding aside, a very beautiful sight. What was the base of snow on the slopes, 7-8 feet?

Warmest regards,

John

Hi Walter,

I understand your feelings here, what an impressive tree.

I went on a skiing trip in Sölden, Austria.
You might know what I have seen when I went up, with a lift to 2600 meters.
There were these amazing Larches, trees which I love most, but I couldn´t get out of the lift. Sorry that I don´t have photo´s.

These are very nice moments when thinking about future bonsais.

Thanks for your photo and virt,

Wessel

Walter, this thread made me chuckle.

I do exactly the same thing on my way to work. Driving through country lanes past some exquisite trees, some probably 300-400 years old, I envisage them shrunk and in a pot.

I love looking at the gnarled twisted trunks and great sweeping arms of branches and twigs silhouetted against the morning sky.

A lovely picture Walter and thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Aaron
