Scot's Pine - Nursery Stock Chop
Picked this stragley looking "Kluis Pyramid' up from a nursery a couple of months back. It was nothing too special at the time, but the trunk seemed to have a bit of potential - just had to try and work out where to loose the excess from.
Anyway, gave it a chop on the weekend which you can see in the pics below. Lines looks pretty clean now, although they don't show the decent scar down the back. No further wrok planned until spring. Current soil is incredibly compacted to the point where water floats for a few seconds, so it'll be up for a growing tub then. I've never worked with this species before - as always any advice would be much appreciated. Gav |
