Sargent Juniper
Here is a Sargent Juniper that I got for $65 ($40 US) at the Victorian Bonsai Association show in Oct '02. The tree is approx 35cm tall.
Any suggestions on the tree's future would be considered and appreciated. J ....but then....Jase1972 found out he wasn't attaching the photo properly and raised his hand sheepishly and cried, "help please" Last edited by Jase1972 : 10-Aug-2003 at 03:12 PM. |

Your tree looks great and I like it the way it is. Just have to work on filling out the lower branch folage and creating fuller folage pads. I actually supplied soil at the show which was snapped up in the first hour. It was a good show with some great trees. David |

I like the tree the way it is. LivingArts virtual removes the lower branching. I disagree with what was done in that virtual, the lower branching adds the look of age and is needed.

Jase,
I agree with Charlie B. You have done well. the only options I can think of is since you are totally wired I would move the branches into lower positions a little below horizontal . This will give a more dramitic effect. Shimpys tend to go back up after offwiring ( A word?) so this will also conteract that as well. On the next repot you might could lower the root mass to get your root spread slightly deeper.
