S. arboricola 'Hawaiian Elf'

This tree is yet another cast off from our University (WVU) Greenhouse....the staff is thinning out some of their older stock. I have completed initial work on this schefflera. It appears to be recovering nicely and I am looking forward to working with it. Current dimensions are 23 inches in height and 32 inches in width...

Regards,
Tom

They just got rid of it?!?! Wow! Great find for you! That's a really great start for a scheff . . . it will definitely be a prize specimen in a couple years!

Thanks for the kind words, 007....I did make a financial contribution to the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences for the tree...our club has been really lucky in that we have been given first choice regarding some of this older nursery stock that has been around the greenhouse for many years. Because of increased student enrollment in the plant and soil sciences programs, space has become premium in the University greenhouse, hence the clearance of some of the older stock.

Regards,
Tom
