Rhododendron Flowers

Hi,

This Rhododendron may never be a good bonsai ( the leaves are too big and will probably not reduce much ), but it's flowers more than make up for this. ( or so I think... )

I think those flowers are stunning...I think this tree is a real pleasure to look at...I think with a bit more time and growth the leaf size will look OK...I think when it is in bloom the leaf size does not matter...I think a cobalt blue pot to compliment the flower color...I think if you do not want to spend the time watching it grow, send it to Texas, I will watch it closely...That is what I think...

Regards
Behr

Hi Behr,

Thanks ! You're right about the pot color. I will repot it next year and I will try to find a pot like that. The canopy must grow a bit bigger and denser but that will be a matter of time. The leaves will get a bit smaller but not too much. I have a shrub of the same species in the garden with leaves that are about 75% of the size of this plant. If they reduce that much on this one I will be happy.

regards, René
