Repotting a sumo oak

trouble with images
OK. lets try again.
Today I repotted this sumo coast oak. It measures about 30 inches around the base and stands about 24 inches above the pot rim.
#1 shows the oak rigged and lifted. #2 shows the root out of the pot. #3 shows the roots in a tub hgetting a good soak while I prepare the new pot and mix soil. #4 is the oak in it's new home, a large lotus pot.

Mike

for some strange reason, the first 3 pix are in reverse order.

Hi b
The soak is some Physan 20 and Miracle-gro. The "milk" is foam on top of the water. The Physan is a disinfectant in case some nasties are in the soil.
BTW, I neglected to mention that the trunk is completely hollow. When I first acquired this oak, I found some rot on the trunk, and before I got rid of all the rot, the trunk was hollow with 3 large openings.

Melissa, below is a product description for Physan 20.

Its applications include: greenhouses; hard surfaces; lawn and turfgrass; seedlings and cut flowers; decorative fountains, pools and birdbaths; and plants. PHYSAN 20 is an EPA approved concentrate formulated with unique germicidal agents to provide overall protection for your plants and greenhouses. A good place to order horticultural supplies is Dyna-gro. Among the many good products they sell is Physan 20. Check the link. If you call them, they'll ship it right out, Good people.
