Carl, you second vertual is wonderful. It almost looks like a different tree. By the small chnage you have increased the visual value of this tree many times over. I think if it is brought along with your vert in mind it is going to get 'there' quicker.

Yeah, those virtual making tutorials are great.
I made my own on this one, a windswept could be another option for the tree. I like OMC's virt too. Zeb

For Zebs windswept, I think you might need to reduce the apex to a jin, then jin the branch jutting out on the right, maybe right into a shari above (on the bend). but I would lean toward (pun intended) OMC's second virt.
