Rapid blooming wisteria
I pruned my landscape wisteria in very early spring--maybe in late March. I stuck some cuttings in a pot of soil on my deck and forgot about them. Today I noticed that not only have they sprouted buds and now leaves, they have also grown 3 little racemes after only about 6 weeks. There was no growth on the plant at all when I pruned. The large plant is about 18 years old, approx. 48" tall. The baby is about the size of a pencil and maybe 12" tall.

I'm not after busting your bubble, but what you're seeing isn't proof that there are roots growing. I suspect that there probably are, and you'll have success with them, but it could just be running on its reserves. Make sure you keep the soil from drying out, though I hesitate to say keep it wet all the time either.
The next month should really tell tales. The only time I've had trouble rooting wisteria is when they were allowed to dry out ...REALLY dry. Congrats on the blooms. They really look nice. You have a very interesting cutting there. Good luck, WF
