bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Nice virtuals - thank you! I'll try to put together a virtual for this one myself, sometime in the near future.

It's pouring outside right now (and will be until some time next April, knowing Seattle) otherwise I'd go out and snap an update shot for you, STP.

Not that the tree has changed much - it looks pretty much exactly like it did when I posted those last pictures. It was late enough in the year that I didn't see an additional explosion of growth - nor have I removed the rubber tournaquet yet.

All the best,
OMC

Well, I couldn't resist. I pulled off the tournaquet, and took a look. Here's what we've got as of this afternoon. Sorry for the low picture quality.

I replaced the tournaquet - I'd like to get something of a sharper bend than the current relaxed position that you see here.

Cheers,
OMC

Any chance of an update on this tree, or should I have left this thread to Davey Jones' locker? It looked like an interesting solution.

Hey Carl!!!

A very quick virtual. I say cut it back to about what you see in the virt and move that shoot into place as the new apex (black). Then I would put it in the ground or a very large grow box for five years.

Just a basic shape for now. It is going to take some years to develop.

In all honesty, I see about a ten year project there buddy. Then the real fun starts.

Good luck.
