Possible pot change
Now that this Sara Rayner pot is available, I'm thinking of using it for this large cork oak. The idea of blending the rough bark of the oak with the rough texture of the pot appeals to me. I well know that a round pot isn't the usual vessel for an upright tree, but what good are rules if they can't be broken?
BTW, the oak is about 40 inches tall from the pot rim. Mike

Yet another nice tree Mike. I like the idea of the rough textured pot corrorlating with that of the Oak. I'd be more inclined to go for a slightly shallower pot if possible, if you are going to use a round vessel.

Mike, I really like the pairing of the rough pot with the rough bark. The roundness is something that can only really be decided in three dimensions. The only issue I have is one that you can't really do much about. save have her make you a new one. I think the pot is a touch too dark for the bright bark on this tree. This tree seems fairly bright and sunny to me, and the pot is a bit depressing. I have lightened it just a bit for show.
