Ponderosa Pine

Just picked up a Ponderosa Pine from Randy Knight. He brought mine down with a load of bigger stock for other customers. Thanks Randy, and thanks to JGamby713 for setting it up.

Congratulations Brian that is a fine pine that should keep you busy for a while once you start working on it. As you and Jason have shown us Mr. Knight certainly collects some great trees.

Thanks Sauce. At first I was a little hesitant when I heard that this tree was collected in June of this year. But there are lots of new roots growing out the bottom of the container, and new growth on the top. Seems it didn't miss a beat.

I'll be up there at 7:00 AM tomorrow to pick this up.

This is some of that free stock you are thinning out right?

Besides with the floods coming you can't risk any of that soil washing out. It will be safe in Fresno!

Regards and nice piece, Al

Great stuff Brian,

I see a windswept semi-cascade in its future. Keep us posted on what you decide to do with it.

Good luck with it

Here's a quick update on this pine. I just did my first major bend....about 110 degrees from right to left (compare to pic 31643).
