Not particularly. Plus, you haven't really looked at how to bend and optimize the tree. If you don't move things much, the crossing branch helps to eliminate the distraction of the long smoth "monotonous" curve. Part of bonsai- hide/use the flaws and accentuate the positive. Orders of magnitude better than the bull horns.

The only thing I would comment on, is your virtual completely eliminates the tail. I dont think realistically you can achieve this without out some permanent scar. You may want to rework your virtual a few times with different length jin and shari from that tail until you get a more realistic design.

I'm probably going to leave a short jin. If I don't like it I may carve down into the area where the knob on the right side is to eliminate that area as well. The knob area from the side view looks like a wart. It's really unattractive. The only reason I haven't removed it is because I still don't know what the role the large root on it is in the overall health of the tree.
