Playing with a new backdrop

I had some speaker cloth that I had intended to cover my speakers with when I covered them with oak veneer. That was 3 years ago and still the cloth sat in my closet. You know, bonsai to trim!

I tried the new cloth with this elm. I aquired it as a rootless cutting from a fellow in the Redwood Empire Bonsai Club. I babied it and it took off. I have been training the branches ever since. There were none on it just a stick. AK

BTW the tree is 4.5 inches tall

The red table and black make a nice backdrop for the photos. That's quite the trunk, too. Makes a great mini mini bonsai.
