Picea

I made this in about an hour and a half a couple days ago. It comes from a tree I got last year at the after christmas culling at Target. 49 cents. Ive been inspired here by the styling contests so I thought Id do an off season warm up. It just popped right out. Ill try to play for real next time. I planted it in this pot right after i got it. It came in a 3 inch pot. This pot is 10x7x2 inches. The tree is 12 1/2 inches chopped from 18ish. Ill leave it here for a year or 2 while i see if it lives. This is my first big kid picture. After i whipped this out i spent 3 times as long learning that my camera and computer are not seperate entities, but in fact merge into the wholeness of the great way. Im wiser in many ways now. And i built a little studio in my house using chairs on tables and broomsticks and linty black towels. It was fun. So what do you think? Its Picea abies. Not good at holding its shape after wiring, so ive read, but ive never done so much wiring, either. Id like to carve the jin/shari a bit more down the left and front but i wired it first and ran out of room. Id love to hear some opinions. If you want to see more pictures i know how to do that. Thanks.

Good start. I would like to see it in a few years.
Keep us posted.
