Photos From Japan

Friends of mine visited Japan several months back and have sent me some photos of their trip. They claim they aren't photographers and that it was the recently purchased digital camera that took these photos. I think they are quite spectacular and wanted to share them. They make me want to go to Japan desperately.

Hope you enjoy.

David

Hmm I can identify the first picture as Ryouanji, a famous rock garden. there are 15 rocks and no matter where you look at it from, you can only see 14.. or something like that, I havent been there in a long time. The second one is the famous kinkakuji, or golden pavillion, the outside and inside are covered in gold leaf. This is fairly newly constructed however because the original has burned down sometime in the 1800's i think..

sounds like your friends had a nice time!
