Oooh, Look What I Found Today

Well I certainly didn't expect to find such a plant... ever. It's a dwarf wisteria... it's under the name chinensis, so I guess its a dwarf Chinese wisteria, but it has a Japanese name 'kofuji' which translates to 'small wisteria'. Its in a 1 gallon pot, and although it's still small, it was only 10.99. I have lots of trouble finding any info on it, except for, I know the Japanese use this type of wisteria for bonsai. I just love how small the foliage is compared to a normal wisteria. I bought 2, 1 to [accidentally] kill, and one to work with Thank God for summer jobs

Great find, Kazuki!

But if you can kill a wisteria, you might consider a change of hobbies!

Regards,

Matt

Kazuki,

Nice trees! I live in the area would you consider telling us your source? Would like to see future posts to see how you styled this material! Nice trunks!

Looks like quite a score, Kazuki! Nice find.

Don't over-style these babies. Look at how Kyosuke Gun and similar artists work with flowering vines...

Keep us posted on this one.

Best wishes,
Carl

No Prob. Believe it or not, it was at a Summer Winds Nursery formerly known as Woolworth . It was the one in the Palo Alto Area on the corner of Middlefield Road and San Antonio Road. Inside the nursery, there is a bench about in the middle and they have a few 'bonsai' and you should be able to find them there. They had a few left (maybe 5 or 6) so you can take your time.. I don't think too many people know of this treasure
