the ones that got away

Show us the ones just wouldn't handle the transplant.
Bucida bucerus collected way the heck out in the middle of no where in the Bahamas. All the tools, all the labor, all the paper work and the reward....the reward was slow death..agonizing pain. But we move forward...

Gday KK!

Here's an Arbutus unedo that I successfully collected about 7 years ago when I knew nothing about Bonsai, and that I successfully killed last year when I should have known better...

Fly.

PS: Do I qualify for NASA now?

Nothing like a dead bonsai trunk crackling on the fire to keep you warm on a cold winters night. Looks like your hooked up

No way..I will not burn my hunk of wood, turning it into charcoal for a wiener roast. It deserves to be fitted out for a new life or "phoenix". Tanuki is a thing of the past. We are living in a new 'Green' world now.

PS. Tachigi..I got one that will that will have you jumping in the fire pit to rescue!
Fly...so sorry. Is that buttonwood? It would make good buttons.
