Si,
Beautiful drawings as always! So you intrigued me into moving the tree to slant the other direction. The straight section bothers me, but maybe there is another angle to lessen it. Deadwood doesn't seem to be a long term option on crepe myrtle - I have never seen it on the thousands that are planted in Northern California. Hollows would look nice. The pot is by H. Horst. Nice virt Carmen! I don't know how to cut and paste the image like you do. That's why I just draw it out. It's faster for me that way. Yeah the straight portion there is a little problematic. One could always lean it forward and to the side in order to shorten it visually; and if it is to be a bunjin, then crossing branches or foliage could hide it too. One could also continue the trunk line for a few more curves before topping it off with foliage. I find that this helps alot with straight trunks.

Thanks for all the virts. When I look at this project I see as many different ways as you all. I'll hve better pics tomorrow and maybe we hit upon the best.
