New yew
This is a yew I purchased recently from a general nursery. I've given it its first pruning; no wiring yet. In the pictures below, if you notice a few thin branches/suckers growing along the soil, I do not intend for these to be branches but am hoping I can get them to root and to use them to improve the nebari eventually. There also are a few decent roots just under the surface, which I believe I should be able to expose when I repot in the spring.
I'm happy for any comments, criticism, skepticism. Thanks for having a look. First pictures are the beginning shrub, two pictures of the front I chose and two pictures of the front I rejected as I began my work. Last edited by jersanct : 2-Dec-2007 at 02:51 AM. |

Front, left, back, right, and an overhead shot (with the front at the top of the picture) so you can get a better feel for how the various trunks relate to each other. Thanks for any comments and criticisms.
