New postage stamp

Canada Post has just announced the the release of its 2002 general purpose postage stamp. I am privileged to to be able to introduce it to bonsai community.

Re: New postage stamp

Yes, it is.

Of course, this is not a stamp that is available for general use. The Canadian Post Office has a service it calls 'Picture Postage'. One can send in a picture, and they'll scan it onto small stickers, which can be peeled off the backing and placed on postage stamp frames, as may become clear from the pictures below.

Here are the stickers.

Re: New postage stamp

... and here are the frames. It's an interesting gimmick for special occasions, but since it more than doubles the price of a 47¢ stamp, it's not an economical proposition for daily use.

What a neat idea! I think I saw part of this thread on IBC and didn't know you were serious about the frames.

Is this becoming popular?

Matt:

When have I ever not been serious?

I don't know how popular this service is. I have never received an item of mail with a personalized stamp, but then most of the people I know would be too cheap to spring for something like this.
