New JBP Aquisition

Got this JBP on Ebay for $325. It is 28inches tall, trunk base is 4inches, and a 1.75 inch trunk. I think it will make a fine literati. Not sure what to do with that first branch though. It seems a little to powerful for the style of tree so I probably will jin it off.

I'd do a few virts before I'd Jin it off. I'd also keep it until you get the top styled and made sure the tree's healthy. Good Luck

I look forward to seeing pictures of it wired up. And who is the nice looking woman behind the bonsai? Does she know when you take pictures of trees that her head is considered superfluous?

Haha, Im assuming that is the woman who sold me the tree or the seller's wife. I think Im going to start getting girls in bikinis to model my bonsai trees. I could be on to something, lol.

$325. What did that come to with shipping?

Here is something you might plan for in the spring.

So you won the tree, cograts! I had been watching it throught the acution. I would keep the first branch and pull it down to create a cascading branch, then use the upper branches as sub brances and the apex. Sorry, can't do virts. Hope this makes sense.

It was 25 bucks for shipping, seemed like a good deal considering the size of the tree. It should be comming this week, cant wait to see it.
