New Ficus Too. Any Ideas?

Here is a ficus that I just got. I will attach all the photos that I have.

Any advice on it's care and styling would be MUCH appreciated!

This is another nice tree you have. Almost an anformal broom as it is. just try the pinch and grow technique and in a year or two, it will look great.

It a very nice tree. Determine how large you wish the canopy to be and trim back to that outline.

I can't quite make it out, but it appears to have Liverwort between the surface roots near the front center.

If so it's an indication that the tree might well be getting too much water, or there is a drianage problem.

any other remedy?

OK I will look into it. I have some chop sticks here now that I will be using to determine when the trees need water.

I will attempt to remove some of the moss if you think that would be prudent.

It isn't the moss (on the left) it's the stuff in the center that looks like miniature lettuce leaves laid out in the sun.

I've just completed the draft entry for liverwort, so there should be a picture linked if you follow the link above.
