Nanpu-Kai Show 2003
As discussed during the chat, not much in the way of a formal display. However, as expected, the trees were amazing. Here's what the room looked like:
UPDATE: I should mention that the show was held at the Japanese Community Cultural Center here in Los Angeles during the Nisei Week Festival. (UPDATE 2: There are now some larger photos in the bonsaiTALK Museum Thanks to Geodude! ADMIN)

The trees were only marked with the owner's name and did not have any info on the type of tree. Here's a tree by Yaeko Hisayasu. I would guess a crape myrtle.
