My next to last big tree to go.

This was my last big JBP to go, I really hated to sell it but it was also my heaviest at 30" tall, it was hard to move. I will never have another JBP this nice. I enjoyed taking care of it for 7 years. It took a half a day to needle pluck it. I got it from my friend Paul Piptone that passed away through Vito Megna just before he retired from bonsai. I still have pictures of it to enjoy once in a while. (tears)

Nice Harry, tough one to let go, but you have your new trees and a reason to evolve.

Thumbs up

I am trying real hard to understand you people in Oklahoma. You get rid of your best bonsai like some sort of royal sacrifice.Who are we paying homage to? If we use words that require a little thought we get lambasted and told we are trailer trash living off of Old Mil. Beautiful pine Harry, sorry to see it go.

We call it "Downsizing" ...

Downsizing is aquiring smaller trees that do not kill us to try and move.

Unlike "Cavemen" we have normal size arms and bodies (hehe) and when you are a upright walking individual the weight of "Big Trees" vs "Small Trees" really makes a difference, plus age has a factor in there .

It was a royal sacrifice for me now that these trees will never be brought in to the US again. When I bought it I was paying homage to god nows how many Japanese who new what they were doing when they worked on this tree over the last 50 or 60 years.Trees like this don't grow all by themselves.I thought moving up to a trailer would be an improvement over a cave

Dang that's a nice tree to get rid of. Did you sell it already? How much did you sell it for if you don't mind me asking?
