A new tree of mine

Hi All

Long time no posts - been busy

Well ive bought a new tree - couldnt resist it
Korean Hornbeam
16 ish inches high
just be pruned from workshop material
forgot to take pic of before - it looked like a bush
still requires a bit of wiring in places
love the trunk though

enjoy

P.S. price btw = was £249.99 but was a bargin at 90 quid.

That is a really cool tree. Love the trunk and it has some well place branches as well. For us dummies how much is 90quid in US dollars?

I like the virtual Rene, . I think the canopy will be a bit larger, as it grows out, but the shape is very good.

Thanks. I just discovered I've used the wrong foliage.. This is acer buergerianum I think... Oh well, it was just for the idea..

Since you mentioned it, they do look like Trident maple leaves don't they. It has a nice shape to it though.

I can see how the mistake was made though. The trunk looks like a trident trunk but the branches don't!

I once had a trident that had a trunk just like that. I'm sorry I sold it now. That was about 10 yrs ago and.......
well you know. I got a good price for it though! <8o)
