My first accent plant!
Here's a new accent plant that I got today from a local nursery. I have to admit though that I can't remember the name! It gets purple flowers on long thin stalks . . . .
Repotter, if you could be as so kind to remind me of the name, that would be great! Total height: 4" (including pot)

Cool! It looks like a miniature geranium to me. Geranium leaves have a pretty distinctive smell when you crush one. They kind of stink.
Be sure not to overwater it. It should reproduce easily if you divide the roots or even just root a branch on the soil. Regards, Matt

Gday Double-O-Seven!
Very nice little specimen - I'm particulary taken by the gnarly rhizomes(?). When can we expect flowers? Thanks. FlyBri.

I don't think it's a geranium. Their stalks are usually greener and more fleshy looking, especially on the newer growth where the leaves are coming out at the top. Your description of the flowers doesn't sound the way geranium flowers would be described either.

your new accent plant
Is called an Erodium, it's a relative of the Geranium. Zone 7 so keep it indoors for the winter. Pink flowers all year long on that particular one.

Thats right, Erodium . . . Thanks again! This little guy has a reservation to spend winter with my african violets. I think they'll get along great!
