Sawing More tanuki

So here it is, the fruit of my labours when I should have been doing coursework! A piece of driftwood about a foot high, hope to make a tanuki in the style of 'rotted tree' (ink, lime sulphur and burning) rather than 'weathered tree' (just lime sulphured). Anyway, I've carved and burnt it, have yet to treat or weather it a little. I was hoping to grow a hawthorn on it; so if anyone is interested then please suggest foliege pad placement, or overall design.

I know its a little difficult to see, but hopefully you can get the general idea of the movement. About 4 or 5 inches at the base, hoping to have the live vein starting on the right for the first quater then working it's way behing the driftwoodfor the remainder, if anyone wants to see some different angles please let me know.

Cheers

Pup, that is a sweet tree. Deceptive just how big it is...very inspirational. Hows it doing?

Kong, I see where you're going. Thanks for taking the time to do that virt...certainly gave me some ideas. In reference to your question, cavemen know how to make a pair of concave cutters from flint and animal bones!

Back to coursework, slacker alert!
