Miniature Forest

Well, yesterday I went to a local nursery and was looking around at the same old stuff they usually have. I thought since spring about here they would have all kinds of new plants. But to my dissapointment there was nothing new. You know how sometimes you get that urge to buy something. Well I had the urge. I saw an asparagus fern and thought I'd do a little mini forest. I also bought some thyme to plant with it. I already had a pot at home that was just the right size for the forest.

Here is the finished mini forest. I put it together this morning in about an hour. This is the first time I used this type of thyme and it looks great as a ground cover. The fern cost $2.50 and the the thyme cost $1. The pot originally costs $5.00.

Very cute Gilbert...I would think this would make a nice accent planting for a larger tree...Nice work...

I like the scale of your project. Very nice initial results.

Thanks! It definitely is more of an accent plant. This was a fun little project to work on. All it needs now is a little hut.
